Quality Journalism Training in Africa

UNESCO has published a report on Criteria and Indicators for Quality Journalism Training Institutions and Potential Centres of Excellence in Africa.

In collaboration with Rhodes University’s School of Journalism and Media Studies (South Africa) and the Ecole Supérieure de Journalisme de Lille (ESJ, Graduate School of Journalism in France), UNESCO has identified and catalogued up-to-date information on ninety-six journalism teaching institutions across Africa. The report identifies twelve African journalism schools as potential Centres of Excellence and nine as potential Centres of Reference.
