Clothing for Liberation


Communication strategies aimed at building a culture of peace may come in many forms but few people would think of clothing as an instrument of political change.  Peter Gonsalves, however, is an exception. In his book Clothing for Liberation, explores the  power of symbolism in political action by  examining how Gandhi used his clothing and the way he dressed to promote his vision of India and unify his followers.
